Day 1 Arrive Kuala Lumpur
Meet and greet at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Transfer to hotel for check-in. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at 4★Swiss Garden Kuala Lumpur or similar (2 Nights).
Day 2 Kuala Lumpur B / L
This morning, participate at Lazat Malaysian Home for cooking lesson including a market tour. Your instructor will provide you with detail explanations of ingredients and cooking methods, and tricks of making authentic Malaysian dishes. You will have an opportunity to prepare 3-course traditional Malay dishes as your lunch. After cooking class, start the Kuala Lumpur city tour, includes visit the National Monument, King’s Palace, National Museum, Independence Square, Sultan Abdul Samad Building and choose to have a snapshot at the Petronas Twin Towers and National Mosque.
Day 3 Kuala Lumpur coach Ipoh coach Penang B / L
Depart for Ipoh, which was once known as the richest single tin mines in the world. A brief tour will be conducted includes visit to the Sam Poh Tong. Famous Ipoh Chicken Rice and Ipoh Koay Teow / Hor Fun (Chinese) are served for lunch. After lunch drive for 2 hours to Penang, passing scenic countryside, rubber and oil palm plantations. Upon arrival at Penang, check-in hotel, rest and relax. Free at own leisure for the rest of the day. Try to taste some local dishes like Laksa (voted as one of the top tastiest dish in the world), Char Koay Teow, Satay, Grilled Seafood and etc. Overnight stay at 4★Bayview Beach Resort or 4★Bayview Hotel Georgetown (3 Nights).
Day 4 Penang B / L
Morning begins with visiting a local wet market, after that proceed to the Tropical Spice Garden cooking school in which planted with over 500 species of tropical plants including spices. The Malaysian cooking demonstration will be conducted by award-winning chef, in the kitchen overlooking the stunning view of the bay of Teluk Bahang. Enjoy the food you helped cooked afterwards. Afternoon half day city tour of George Town. See the making of Chinese spring-roll flour wraps at the Chowrasta wet market, where grocery and livestock like frogs are traded. At a nearby alley, admire the art of joss-sticks making, some with intricate dragon motif. Proceed to see the baking of the popular “Tau Sar Pheah” biscuits, and option to pick up Penang’s original products such as medicated “nutmeg oil”. Taste Penang’s white coffee at Coffee Tree. Lunch will be at a Nasi Kandar restaurant, a unique blend of southern Indian and Muslim dishes - a signature cuisine of Penang.
Day 5 Penang B
After breakfast, start your half day tour discovering the hills and temples of Penang. First take a scenic train ride up to Penang Hill, it is about 2750 feet above sea level and is the oldest hill resort in the country. This is a funicular train dating back to 1923, and has since been upgraded, functions to bring passengers to the top. (In case the train is under scheduled maintenance, the tour will be replacing by exploring the Botanical Garden as well as the Reclining Buddha). Followed by a visit to the Kek Lok Si temple and the tortoise pond. Afternoon is free at leisure.
Day 6 Depart Penang B
Free at own leisure till transfer to airport for departure flight.
