An exploration of the vast Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex. Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which contains the embalmed body of Ho Chi Minh; and Ho Chi Minh's Stilt House where Ho Chi Minh lived from 1958 until his final days in 1969.

Continue to the One Pillar Pagoda and then to the Temple of Literature with its walled courtyards and graceful gateways. Afterwards head to the Museum of Ethnology .This museum showcases art, traditional clothing and reconstructions of traditional longhouses from 54 different ethnic groups. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple which contains an islet with the tiny Tortoise Pagoda. Pass by the magnificent Opera House (may be seen from the outside only) and St Joseph's Cathedral.

See a Water Puppet Show, a fantastic art form originating in northern Vietnam, best seen in Hanoi.

D3 Lao Cai car Sa Pa
The walk starts from Sa Pa and follows a trail through spectacular scenery of beautiful countryside, lush pine forests and paddy fields. Stroll through Matra, a hidden Black Hmong ethnic minority village that seems far from civilization. In Ta Phin village see the Black Hmong and Red Dao minorities, two large ethnic groups recognizable by their distinctive dress and handicrafts. Visit local houses and some nearby caves. Total trekking distance approx. 12km (4 hours)

D4 Sa Pa
From Sa Pa, travel to the village of Lao Chai, where the trek begins. Visit the Hmong, Dzay and Dzao people, while enjoying spectacular scenery of terraced rice paddies, and the small bamboo forests that are unique to the northern region. From Ta Van, continue to Giang Ta Chai, another minority village populated by Hmong and Dzay, after which visitors transfer back to Sa Pa.

This walking tour in Hoi An includes many of the town's highlights. Japanese Covered Bridge, constructed in 1593 by the Japanese community to link the town with the Chinese quarters across the stream. Sa Huynh Museum which houses exhibitions from the earliest period of Hoi An's history. Wander into the Tran Family Chapel, a 200 year old house built for worshipping ancestors. Phuoc Kien Assembly Hall, a Chinese pagoda built around 1690. Also enter into a Lantern Making Workshop to see how the frame is made and the silk cloth put onto the lantern.

Highlights along the way include the dramatic Hai Van Pass, the high dividing line between the climate zones of North and South Vietnam; Lang Co, a lovely stretch of beach curving outwards between a clear blue lagoon and the East Vietnam Sea; and the large coastal city of Danang.

Excursion by bicycle to the countryside of Hue

The cycling route continues along local paths and through villages and rice fields to Sam market and Thuong Lam Pagoda. (Total 23km cycling on flat roads).

Excursion to Thien Mu Pagoda and Tomb of Emperor Minh Mang with boat trip

Enjoy a leisurely boat ride down the Perfume River, stopping first at the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, an elegant seven-tiered octagonal tower which has become Hue's most widely recognizable monument. Continue cruising into the countryside to the Imperial Tomb of Minh Mang, a majestic complex of courtyards, pavilions and temples in a beautiful natural setting.

Visit the Imperial Citadel

Located in the heart of Hue is the Imperial Citadel, a vast complex built in the early 19th century and modelled after the Forbidden City of Peking. Today, most of the buildings have been destroyed, but the monuments that remain provide a fascinating glimpse into the court life of the Nguyen Dynasty. Visit Dien Tho Residence (Dien Tho palace) where the Queen mother lived, visit Thai Hoa Palace, the magnificently decorated reception hall, the Halls of the Mandarins, and the original Nine Dynastic Urns, among other sites, including a visit to the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum..

Strolling along Dong Khoi Street, formerly known as the Rue Catinat, the main shopping thoroughfare and heart of old colonial Saigon. Pass by classic European-style landmarks such as the ornate City Hall (Hotel De Ville), the old Opera House (both may only be viewed from the outside), and pay a quick visit to the neo-Romanesque Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office.

Reunification Palace- formerly the Independence Palace of the South Vietnamese president. Continue to the harrowing War Remnants Museum, which comprehensively documents the travails of the long Vietnam- American War. Inside are detailed photographic exhibitions; outside is a collection of tanks, planes and weapons. Finally, visit the Emperor Of Jade Pagoda, one of Saigon's most interesting pagodas.

Cu Chi Tunnels were an important Vietcong base during the American War. Stretching over 200 km, this incredible underground network, dug by hand out of hard laterite, connected command posts, hospitals, shelter and weapons factories.

D11 Saigon car Can Tho
Journey through the Mekong Delta to My Tho. Take a boat trip on the Mekong River to Tan Thach (Ben Tre) where local handicrafts and sweets from coconut are produced. Proceed by with small sampan boat through the small canals and observe daily life along the riverbanks, stopping for a leisurely stroll. Continue by vehicle to Can Tho.

From Ninh Kieu wharf, a boat carrying you along the River Can Tho. At Floating market, you'll feel the excitement through sounds, water brandishing paddle, the laughter of the buyers and sellers to make up the bustling scene of Cai Rang floating market.
